Overview – Mass Interventions

Making an impact on the HIV and AIDS pandemic in Africa requires concerted and mass interventions on the part of governments, aid organisations and corporates.  CompuTainer is a Social Enterprise Company that strives to make an impact on HIV, AIDS and TB by assisting and fulfilling these mass interventions on behalf of organisations.

With many thousands of organisations working on the African continent with respect to the HIV, AIDS and TB pandemic there was a need to streamline the supply chains for these companies.  Despite all the best intentions to service and uplift communities it was often not possible for these companies to negotiate reasonable rates from suppliers.  When CompuTainer’s founder Mark Van der Merwe researched this problem, he found that large suppliers were often very willing to supply direct to one company who could manage the multitude of smaller distribution arms.
